I have spoken to countless women about marketing and so many tell me the same thing. It feels “completely overwhelming” and “does my head in”.

Based on everything you read online you might think you need to have your own social media agency trolling Facebook and Instagram on your behalf, or spend a whole lot of money launching a highly-produced video series just to get the attention of your ideal clients.

Does that resonate with you?Don’t get me wrong, online marketing systems and structures can be massively helpful for growing your business and brand. But with the right mindset in place, you can actually start building your business without even being online.
(insert gasp!)

Here are my 4 Tips To Attract Clients Without Being Online:

1) Stop Hiding and Start Sharing
It never ceases to surprise me how shy and secretive new coaches and online service providers can be about what they’re doing.

I’ve had conversations with women who don’t feel comfortable telling people about working online as a coach, or writer, healer or designer. They’re afraid of being judged as “odd” or “coo-coo for cocoa puffs” or the dreaded, “I’m not successful enough to be a real coach.”

Are you picking up what I am putting down here?
Look, I get it and I have worn the t-shirt.We have all been judged at certain points in our lives. And those moments have left scars on our hearts and minds. But they didn’t stop us from living.

Remember that at a certain point you have to ask yourself, would you rather avoid judgement and continue to hide or try your hat on at being immensely successful and ultimately fulfilled doing your life’s purpose.

Most people will be curious and want to learn more about your decision to become an online entrepreneur or coach. Some will judge you, but more often than not those that judge are purely jealous and only wish they could do what you are doing. Don’t be afraid to share your story and your vision especially with people who you know will be excited for you.

Stand in your power. Be confident about your message and what you do. Trust me, the more confident you are, the more likely people will resonate with you.

People can sense when someone is hesitant and they will jump on that hesitancy like flies to a piece of dog poop. <I know I said the p word, but seriously this is the best description for this message) 😉

And the more confident you are, the more you will get hired. Yup, I like the sound of that one too.

2) Think About Where you Spend your Time
I want to remind you that your potential clients are real people too. This means, they take their kids to soccer practice, they are on the PTA, they are standing in line getting their favorite latte at Starbucks and they are next to you getting a pedicure. You don’t have to go to a networking event if you don’t want to.

The key thing you want to remember is to have your 30 second elevator pitch down ready to share about what you do, and most importantly always be your authentic self when you are out in public. (tweet this)

Don’t be afraid to engage in conversation with people. Ask them questions. Do what you do best.

Your most powerful (and lucrative!) connections will occur in places you LOVE and already go (rather than places you think you “should” go to find clients).

3. Tap into and Trust your Intuition
Did you know that you have a DYNAMIC inner business advisor that’s always available to you and exists to help you succeed?

Have I peaked your curiosity? I thought so.

Your inner guide or intuition is your inner business bad-ass advisor and they are there just for you. However, it is critical to act when you get an inner hunch or thought that pops into your mind.

I encourage you everyday to get quiet and ask for guidance and wait for the intuitive hits to come. Ask the following question, “what is the message I am meant to receive today? or “what is the message my clients need to hear from me today?”

The key is you must take action on what you hear.It might feel a bit odd to do this, but I want you to embrace the awkwardness and do it anyways. Follow your intuition, it won’t steer you wrong.

The next time you get the feeling that a friend, colleague or acquaintance would make an ideal client, I encourage you to strike up a conversation. Say something like, “Wow, that thing you are struggling with or talking about doing is the exact thing I do. Are you open to having a conversation about the services I offer that would really help you?”

Give it a try. And trust me, the more you listen in for your intuitive hits the louder and more accurate they will be. And ultimately the more clients you will attract.  How does that sound to you?

My thoughts exactly.

4. Set Intentions (weekly/monthly)
With the Law of Attraction you must put your intention out in the world for what you want to attract. When you do this the Universe will immediately go to work on your behalf, sending you exactly what you asked for. But remember, you must keep yourself in a high vibration, and be taking action every day towards your intention.

Does that make sense?

You can’t just sit at home watching Scandal hoping to attract new clients, you do actually need to take decisive steps in order for this to work.

How many new clients do you want to attract? How do you want your business to run? You want to set an intention every week.

As a final note, the Universe cares less about where you are and more about how you are being, acting and feeling. (tweet this!) It doesn’t differentiate between a networking event and the grocery store (but it DOES respond to positive open energy WAY more than closed off negative energy).
