I’ve got some killer productivity hacks that you can use to run your business.

I have seen savvy entrepreneurs who have everything in their power to succeed and be hugely successful, but because they aren’t productive and spin their wheels in making decisions all the time, they stay small and stuck.

Here are the Top 7 Productivity Hacks to Streamline Your Business.

Reduce Decision Making

Decision fatigue is a real thing. If you are spending all your time trying to decide what to wear for a FB lives or Instagram lives, forget about it. Pick one thing out, and wear it always. Find what you feel good in and wear it.

Channel your inner Mark Zuckerberg or Steve Jobs and stop the madness. Stop allowing what you’re wearing to take too much brain power. Simplify your wardrobe down to a uniform if you find that you’re getting caught up in decision fatigue when it comes to clothes.

I also want you to figure out where you can streamline. Does it really matter that every week you put out three different Facebook or Instagram Lives? Maybe you could just do one and have your team repurpose it.

Bottom line, you don’t need to make ALL the decisions. Rely on your biz buddy or team members to help you out. Remember you’re not in this alone.

Learn To Say No

One of the fastest ways to reach burnout is by being a ‘yes’ man. This does not mean to not say yes, but it means that you need to learn to set healthy boundaries. Not taking on too many tasks and faces will help you to pin down your goals and vision and really put those into action!

Another great reason to start saying no is to reduce the overwhelm. I know that you have been at a point where you feel like there is too much to do and there is absolutely no time. That is a great time to analyze what you can say no too.

I want to you sit down and think about your priorities. Are the things you are saying yes to meshing with these? If these tasks are not cohesive with your goals and vision, these are the tasks you can begin to remove and say no too. It can be extremely hard to say no, but the more you do it, the easier it will become. If you are not able to say no to certain tasks, think about how you can outsource this task (only if it helps you grow and is essential to your journey).

Breakdown Your To-Do List Into Bite-Sized Pieces

Do you have your To-do list outlined and prioritized? That is the first thing that you need to do.  When you have that done, I want you to break each of those to-do’s into smaller sections. This will help you to get your tasks done is smaller segments, reducing overwhelm, increasing productivity, and helping you to accomplish the tasks that are essential for success.  It also allows for you to create time and space for breathing room. I love having this in business because it allows for the unexpected.

Batch Your Work

Remember how you outlined your To-do list and created bite-sized pieces to help remove overwhelm and increase productivity?  This goes hand in hand with batch work. Even though your tasks are broken down, you can put them back together. This allows for you to accomplish more and knock-out multiple projects at once without multi-tasking.

You can set specific days or specific times to focus on one task during that period. This will help you focus on the task at hand and have you knock it out in one fell swoop. I have found that by breaking these tasks down and giving them your undivided attention, you are able to streamline your business and productivity. You are going to find more flexibility in your work, less stress, and even that you are ahead of the game vs. scrambling to get tasks done!

Silence Your Inner Perfectionist

I want you to repeat after me, “Done is better than perfect”.

You are going to find that there are situations where you just can’t get it done perfectly.  You are going to start swelling and stressing and soon your inner perfectionist is having you start completely over on the project.  This is a huge waste of your time!

It is okay to not have it perfect!  Your business is your baby but if you waste time trying to make everything perfect, nothing is ever going to actually happen.  Your audience is looking for material, not perfection. The bigger picture is that your audience will not realize that is isn’t perfect.

You must silence your inner perfectionist because it will not only drain your business and productivity, but it will drain you as well.  This ultimately will lead to burnout. Instead, try to focus on what your message, passion, and vision are. From there, focus on getting the task done (using bite-sized pieces and batch work).

If It’s Not Scheduled, It Won’t Happen

I want you to streamline your productivity.  How do you do this? Schedule everything! This can be intimidating at first but when you actually implement this step, you will realize how much time you are saving.  When you break down your work and schedule it out, you are holding yourself accountable for producing and implementing. I find that scheduling also helps me to prioritize my tasks.  I am able to ensure that everything that needs to be done is completed.

You can take scheduling further than just planning and getting your work completed.  You can apply this to every function of your business. I want you to think about all of the crucial aspects of your business, i.e. Social Media, Newsletters, Client Onboarding, Invoicing and Billing, etc.  You can have these set up on a schedule to ensure that nothing will slip through the cracks and you present yourself in a professional light.

Create Your Plan

I have found that creating a plan is one of the most crucial points in running your business, especially when it comes to productivity.  By creating a plan, you are setting up the blueprint of your business. You will be able to identify your goals, focus on what needs to be done, how you are going to accomplish it, and what needs to occur to implement everything!
